Booking Your Initial Consultation

To schedule your first appointment, you can either call us at or by using the Book Now button at the top of the page.

Appointment Policy

Our doctors strive to keep to their schedules because we value your time. Your punctuality helps us maintain this.

Late Arrivals

We understand that unexpected situations can arise, but arriving late may limit the care we can offer and inconvenience other patients. We’ll do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but some appointments may need to be rescheduled.

No-Show Policy

A $40 fee may be applied if you miss an appointment without notifying us in advance.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 4 hours notice. Last-minute cancellations are difficult to fill, and if you miss your appointment or cancel late, a $40 “Did Not Attend” fee may be charged.

What to Bring to Your First Visit

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete any necessary paperwork. Be sure to bring the following items:

Medical Information:

  • A list of current medications
  • Details of any drug allergies
  • Previous X-rays, MRI, or CT scans
  • Pathology reports
  • A summary of your medical and family history
  • Information on whether your condition is work-related

Identification:

  • A driver’s license or other valid ID
  • Medicare, DVA, or pension card
  • An employer’s letter (if it’s a work-related issue) and approval from your case manager

Other Information:

  • Your current diet and exercise routine
  • Any relevant travel or journal notes

During Your First Visit

When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed at reception and then seen by the doctor.

Medical History: In your initial consultation, the doctor will review:

  • Your general health and current medications
  • Any previous medical issues
  • Family health history
  • Current symptoms and any related health concerns
  • Previous diagnostic imaging
  • Risk factors, lifestyle, and family medical history

Being open and honest is crucial for an accurate assessment and treatment plan.

Please note: Strong painkillers, sleeping pills and drugs of dependency policy
Except for palliative care needs, our policy is that we will not prescribe these types of medicines (e.g. OxyContin and morphine and Valium):
• at your first appointment
• on a phone request
• without a proper assessment
• over the long term (we prefer safer and better options).

Physical Examination: If a physical examination is required, try to stay as relaxed as possible. Taking slow, deep breaths and focusing on something pleasant can help.

Diagnostic Imaging: Further diagnostic tests may be necessary to confirm the doctor’s assessment.

Asking Questions

We encourage you to ask any questions or raise any concerns you may have. It’s essential that you fully understand your options and feel comfortable discussing your health.
